Edit textfile in DOS/Win format and save it in Unix format

Hi alltogether,

when creating a new file, the format of the file (especially EOL indicator) depends on the preferences settings in the 'New files' section of the 'Preferences' dialogbox.

By default, EOL indicator is DOS/WIN.

Comparing Komodo functionality to other editors, I'm missing the possibility to choose the target file format, e.g. if I'd like to have a unix version of that file, when saving.

Since I'm new with Komodo and currently in the learning phase, may be, I have overlooked somthing.

Hints are very welcome.

Thank you.

Greetings techfan,

You can freely modify the line endings for the currently-active file by going to:

edit -> current file settings -> file settings fieldset -> line endings

You will also notice other currently-active file-specific settings you can modify there.

Feel free to ask or search the forum here whenever you want help in discovering features!
